PT Dahana is set to present its flagship product, Dabex UG, at the Mining Indonesia 2025 international exhibition, scheduled for September 17–20, 2025, at JiExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta. Dabex UG is the latest innovation in underground blasting services, specifically designed for the underground and tunnel mining sectors.
Teja Sukmara, General Manager of Mining at PT Dahana, highlighted that the introduction of Dabex UG addresses the need for safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly blasting solutions in the underground mining industry. He explained various benefits for consumers using Dabex UG, manufactured by Energetic Material Dahana.
“We offer a bulk emulsion explosives technology with high activation energy, which enhances control over occupational safety and the safety of underground mining operations. Additionally, this product delivers excellent blasting results and contributes to optimal operations both technically and financially,” stated Mr Sukmara.
From a safety standpoint, Dabex UG is formulated with a zero oxygen balance, resulting in minimal fumes. This design creates a safer working environment in underground tunnels or confined spaces, ensuring the long-term sustainability of mining operations while prioritizing employee health and preventing occupational diseases.
For optimal use, Dabex UG is recommended to be combined with Dayaground® Pentolite Booster or Dayagel® Extra as a primer. The product is also designed to be pumped using a Mighty Pump Unit with a flexible hose to a depth of 60 meters, simplifying the field filling process.
In terms of technical advantages, Dabex UG has a dormancy time of up to two weeks in both dry and wet blastholes, providing greater flexibility for mine operators in planning blasting activities without concerns over deteriorating explosive quality.
